My check-out counter!

I am so excited, because my check-out counter was delivered yesterday! This gallery IS going to happen!!! It is all coming together, and I couldn't be happier. I purchased the counter from The Heritage Co. in Kalamazoo, and they did an awesome job of making it out of antique doors and trim. I can't wait to stand behind it and help my first customer!

Floor almost done!

It's not easy to work in the carriage house when it's so cold you can see your breath, but I am determined to get this gallery ready to open! Laying this barnwood is like putting together a giant puzzle. The pieces are all just random widths and lengths, so in order to have them fit without too big of gaps...I have to try many pieces. It feels wonderful to finally have the flooring almost done. In the next couple of weeks I plan on installing the last of the wood, and then the really exciting part will start. I will be moving in all of the furniture and decor next, so if you are going to have artwork or crafts in my gallery, start thinking about shipping or dropping them off anytime now. I can't wait to see the creative items that my talented family and friends will be selling here!!!
